“From when we initially approached the Raptor Series concept it was about performance. More specifically we were designing for: speed comfort and a specific fluidity that will compliment your surfing rather than inhibit. Naturally we found our inspiration from the sleek contours and lines of the technologically-advanced FA22-Raptor stealth fighter jet. You may find touches of infuence in the sleek lines of the front tab shapes the structures of the side pockets and every stitch line and bartack that we’ve designed. By the hour this project was definitely the most demanding project we’ve collaborated on; but by far our favorite. Countless days and nights of design development testing and more testing have gone into this boardshort. From the custom PVC tabs key hooks pocket zippers front zipper fly closure and even to the VI logos on our custom-designed drawcords you can rest assured that we kept every detail in mind.
